About Brandi

Hi! I'm Brandi. I'm so glad you're here.

For the past 12 years, I've worked as a therapist, blending my passion for mindfulness and yoga into clinical work. Since discovering yoga in 2007, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of mindfulness on overall well-being. I completed my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Columbia University in 2012. I also completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2014 and a 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training in 2023. These experiences have not only enriched my professional toolkit but have also deepened my personal commitment to growth and self-discovery.

I believe in walking the talk. I challenge my clients as well as myself to step outside of comfort zones. I truly believe that this is how change and growth happen. In yoga there’s a saying that something can be “simple, but not easy.” There will likely be things that come up in therapy that seem simple. That does not mean that they are easy. Change can be really hard. It can also be incredibly rewarding.

My personal journey with grief and loss inspired me to complete a certification in Compassionate Bereavement Care (CBC), supporting people who have experienced traumatic loss. Someone once told me that not everyone can sit with grief. It’s so important to me that others who are navigating grief have someone who can support them on that journey.

I became a therapist because I wanted to hold space for people and provide tools to navigate through all of the ups and downs life has to offer. Life can be tremendously difficult at times. It can also be really beautiful and joyous. I can’t change what’s happening in your life, but I can give you tools and be here with you as you navigate it.

Fun facts about me: I have lived in each of the states that I’m licensed in at one time or another. I currently have 6 plants in my office and will likely add more. I have a love for cycling that I found while I was navigating a big transition. Outside of being a therapist and yogi, I enjoy traveling, spending time in nature, and exploring new places and experiences.
