My approach
I recognize that each individual is unique, which is why I believe in taking a whole-person approach that’s tailored just for you and your individual needs. I focus on uplifting your strengths and embracing all parts of your authentic self. You're more than the symptoms, behaviors, or thoughts that might be leading you to seek therapy.
I might be a good fit for you if you're coping with loss, navigating anxiety, facing significant change, or seeking deeper self-understanding. Maybe you're grappling with the aftermath of sudden loss and want to process your emotions and thoughts. Perhaps you’re struggling with the weight of perfectionism, feeling pressured to get everything 'just right.' Know that you're not alone. Many of my clients have sought therapy due to feeling stuck and seeking to invite more fulfillment into daily life.
In addition to my clinical skills, I also draw on my background as a yoga teacher, integrating yoga philosophy into therapy sessions as a tool to promote self-understanding and growth. That might entail exploring behavior and thought patterns and themes of self-talk. I also might ask you where you feel an emotion in your body, or what the emotion feels like in your body. I often incorporate mindful breathing, grounding techniques, and body scans into therapy sessions. I’ll provide you with tools to deepen your understanding of yourself and increase self-connection from a place of kindness and compassion.
